Mission Statement

At Sussex Transcendence: 

Our Mission is to support and advocate for Trans Non-Binary and intersex people (TNBI) in West Sussex and surrounding areas. It is our aim to reduce social isolationand improve the quality of life and wellbeing for members of our community.

We will achieve this by:

1. Creating safe and affirming meet up space(s) in Chichester. Where TNBI people can meet, connect with other members of the community and receive peer support.

2. Seeking to improve TNBI people’s access to gender affirming healthcare, working with partner organisations to improve provision locally.

3. Working to educate the wider community about the needs of TNBI people.

4. Advocating for the rights of TNBI People in the local area.

5. Committing to understanding and challenging all forms of oppression faced by the TNBI community.

6. Striving to meet all these aims in the most inclusive way possible, helping to remove barriers to community participation.
